Blair Elementary STAAR Parade Builds Confidence and Schoolwide Support

Cheers filled the hallways at Blair Elementary as third, fourth, and fifth grade students walked through a spirited STAAR Parade, encouraged and celebrated by their younger peers in kindergarten through second grade.

The parade served as a powerful reminder that Blair Eagles are not preparing for state testing alone. Across the campus, younger students lined the hallways, offering cheers, signs, and encouragement to show their support for the older students as they prepare to demonstrate their learning. Events like these help build confidence and excitement, creating a positive environment ahead of testing. Similar STAAR rallies across Texas have been shown to boost student motivation and remind them they are supported and prepared.

A highlight of the celebration was a custom STAAR-themed song, Vamos Que Podemos, written by Blair counselor Ms. Rodriguez, who used innovative technology to bring the message to life. By inputting her original lyrics into an AI program, the song was transformed with music and vocals, creating an engaging and memorable experience for students. The song energized the crowd and reinforced key messages of confidence, preparation, and perseverance.

Throughout the parade, the energy and excitement reflected Blair Elementary’s strong campus culture, where students and staff work together to support one another. The event not only celebrated the hard work of students in grades 3–5 but also empowered them to approach testing with confidence and pride.

Blair Elementary continues to foster a community where every student is encouraged, supported, and celebrated.
