Dress COde
Dear Parents of Blair Eagles,
Our number one priority at Blair is to provide your child with the best, positive learning experience in a safe environment. We believe that uniforms have a positive impact on both students’ learning and their behavior. Blair Elementary will be consistently enforcing the following dress code guidelines:
Polo Shirt Colors:
- White, navy blue, red, or gray
- Blair spirit shirts can be worn on any day of the week.
- College/Military shirts may be worn on Wednesdays with uniform bottoms.
Pant Colors:
- Navy blue or khaki
- Blue jeans are not permitted (Mon-Thurs.)
Acceptable bottoms:
- Navy blue or Khaki shorts, pants, skorts, skirts, jumpers
Not Acceptable:
- Shirts that do NOT have a collar. Undershirts may NOT be worn as shirts.
- Polo shirts that are NOT an approved color.
- Jeans (Mon-Thurs.)
Leggings:
- Leggings may be worn under shorts or skirts, however, they may not be worn as pants. Leggings must be a solid color: navy blue, black, white or tan.
Free Dress Wear:
- We feel it’s important that students express themselves, therefore on Fridays ONLY, students will have free dress wear. On Fridays, students are not required to wear uniforms and can wear Blair Spirit wear, jeans, or anything that parents deem appropriate and aligns to the CFBISD Dressing and Grooming Guidelines.
Some basics to remember include:
- Shoes must be worn at all times.
- All apparel must fit properly and must be worn in the appropriate manner intended.
- Students may wear shorts of appropriate length, or skirts of an appropriate length, at or about mid-thigh or longer, when fitted at the natural waistline. Should jeans/pants have frays, rips, or tears above the mid-thigh (appropriate length of shorts), students must wear leggings underneath the jeans.
- Clothing items with provocative, offensive, violent, or drug-related pictures or slogans as well as those advertising alcoholic beverages or tobacco products should not be worn to school.
- Please note that all building administrative decisions regarding student dress are final. Students who disregard the dress code will be subject to disciplinary interventions.
